This item is not at all ok for any large macaw or cockatoo it is very small toy that is appropriate for small/ medium parrots that are not serious chewers otherwise it will be a toothpick in 2 seconds. I can’t say any material is for large parrots.
Not incredibly thrilled about the size. Toy shown w/a macaw & i have a large cockatoo who will shred these tiny blocked in a heartbeat. I think this item wasn’t really properly advertised. Big beaks need big pieces of wood. I’ll keep it, but i’ll make my own wood toys from now on. For what i paid, i could have a 2”x4”x8’ & that would last him a good long time. This toy is meant for small-medium parrots who need to chew wood to maintain their beaks, not large parrots.

Best suited for medium sized bird like amazons & african greyss, not large birds like cockatoos & macaws. The big birds will have this toy shredded in 10 minutes. Packing & shipping were great. I recommend for medium sized birds..

So not as pictured! Super imposing a photo of a macaw over this toy is really misrepresenting. What the product actually is. It’s much more suitable for a smaller word like a connor. My bird trashed it in about five minutes.

The picture is very, very misleading. The toy is about 5inches. But, my african gray loves it, so i rated it 5. parrots love a good chew toy, and this one is a winner.
